1976년 10월 광주에서 창단된 프로발레단으로 국내 다양한 지역 시·도와 지속적인 교류 공연 및 미국,
일본, 중국 등 해외 초청·교류 공연을 통해 완성도 높은 공연을 선보이며 대한민국의 발레 부흥을 선도해온 대한민국 유일의 시립발레단이다. A professional ballet company founded in Gwangju in October 1976. The only municipal ballet company in Korea that has led the revival of ballet in Korea by presenting high-quality performances through continuous exchange performances with other cities and provinces in Korea and overseas invitations and exchange performances such as the United States, Japan, and China. |

집시 여인 에스메랄다를 둘러싼 세 사람의 정서로 꼽추인 콰지모도의 순정과 사악한 주교의 탐욕, 근위대장 푀비스의 기회주의 근성을 나타낸 이야기이다.
1886년 프티파가 개정 안무할 때 드리고의 음악을 삽입하면서 새로 첨가한 장면 빅토르위고의 소설 “노트르담의 꼽추”(Notre-dame de Paris)를 원작으로 한 발레
“에스메랄다” 중 부활절 축제장면의 한 부분이다. 사냥의 여신 다이애나와 귀공자 악테옹으로 변장한 콰지모도의 2인무 작품으로서 빠르고 경쾌한 음악에 맞춰 테크니컬한
동작들을 선보이는 스펙타클한 작품이다. The emotions of the three people surrounding Esmeralda, a gypsy woman, show the purity of Quasimodo, the hunchback, the greed of the evil bishop, and the opportunistic spirit of Phoebis, the captain of the guards. In 1886, when Petipa revised the choreography, Driggo's music was inserted and newly added. Part of the Easter festival scene in the ballet "Esmeralda" based on Victor Hugo's novel "The Hunchback of Notre-dame de Paris". It is a two-person dance work of Diana, the goddess of hunting, and Quasimodo, disguised as Akteong, a scion. |
