서울교방은 교방굿거리춤 지킴이 김경란 선생과 70여명의 제자로 구성된 전통춤 수련터이자 네트워크 단체이다.
권번명인 김수악, 조갑녀, 장금도의 춤 맥을 올곧게 이어오고 있는 서울교방은 계승에 있어서는 발효수련, 독공수련을 통한
가장 보수적인 태도를 취하고 있으나 공연에 있어서는 가장 혁신적 사고를 표방하며 대중적 전통을 실현하기 위해서 브랜드 공연을 창조적 방식으로 실천하고 있다 Seoul Gyobang is a training center of traditional dance and a networking group composed of its representative Kim Kyung Ran and her 70 students. Seoul Gyobang has been uprightly continuing the dance of Kwon Beon Masters–Kim Su Ak, Jo Gab Nyeo and Jang Geum Do, and although the center takes the most conservative attitude in its inheritance through the traditional “Fermentation Training” and “Dokgong Training”, in terms of performances, it adopts the most innovative thinking and the brand’s shows are presented in creative fashion in order to realize “pop-tradition. |

<결>은 시각적인 아름다움의 전달이 아닌 ‘기(氣)에너지’와 생명의 체험인 ‘신명(神明)’의 발현을 주축으로 시나위적 안무형식을 바탕으로 한다.
다시 말해 전통춤 기반의 ‘수직과 수평의 공간성’, ‘중첩과 양감의 시간성’, ‘압축된 밀도와 기운생동의 운동성’이
바탕이 된 신명과 해학을 담은 서사와 움직임의 역사를 풀어 고정된 표현방식을 탈피하여 자유로운 춤으로 확장하고자 한다. ‘Gyeol’(determination) is not transfer of visual beauty, but based on the ‘Sinawish’ form of choreography in a main pillar of revelation of divine ecstasy which is experiences from ‘Gi energy’(spiritual) and life. In other word, it aims to extend to liberal dance, escaping from the expression method, which has been formalized, by unwinding the history of narrations and movements containing divine ecstasy and humor on basis of traditional dance, which has been foundation with 'vertical and horizontal spatiality', temporality of overlapping and volume,' and 'compressed density and vitality of movement'. |
