부산에 오신 여러분들을 환영합니다.
매년6월이 오면 세계의 춤이 한 자리에 모이는 부산국제무용제가 개최됩니다. 어려운 시기임에도 부산국제무용제는 세계와 함께 다시 한 번 예술의 가능성에 도전하고자 합니다.
고개 들어 밤하늘의 별만 봐도 무한한 경외심이 일어나고 세상의 모든 고뇌가 사라집니다. 우리 예술인들이 해야 할 일은 별을 따기 위해 밤하늘을 향해 손을 뻗치는 일입니다. 그리고 그 아름다운 손들을 하나하나 잡아주는 일입니다.
세계와 한국의 예술인들이 예술이라는 밤하늘의 별을 따보겠다는 꿈을 안고 부산의 바닷가로 모여들고 있습니다. 한 주일 동안 부산에 모인 예술가들은 세계 평화를 바라는 간절한 소망과 예술이라는 아름다움을 위해 온몸을 내던지는 도전의 장면들을 보여줄 것입니다.
예술의 힘이 얼마나 위대한지, 예술이 무엇을 할 수 있는지를 부산국제무용제가 보여줄 것입니다. 이제부터 세계 평화와 예술은 부산에서 시작될 것입니다.
부산국제무용제는 여러분들의 참여로 함께 완성되어 가는 축제입니다. 춤을 통해 아름다운 추억들이 모이고, 언젠가는 부산국제무용제의 순간들이 사랑이었음을 되돌아볼 수 있는 날이 오기를 간절히 바랍니다.

2026 Greetings from the 22nd Busan International Dance Festival
We welcome you all who have come to Busan.
Every year, when June comes, the Busan International Dance Festival is held, where dances of all over the world gather at one place. Despite in difficult times,
the Busan International Dance Festival wants to challenge the possibilities of art once again together with the world. Even if you just raised your head and looked up the stars in the sky,
infinite awe would come vital and all the anguish in the world may disappear.
What we artists need to do is stretch hands out to the night sky to pick stars. And each of those beautiful hands should be held.
Artists from all over the world and Korea are flocking to the beach of Busan with the dream of picking the stars, so called “art”, in the night sky.

Artists gathered in Busan for a week will show scenes of the challenge of throwing their whole bodies for their earnest wishes for world peace and for the beauty of art.
The Busan International Dance Festival will show what a great the power of art has and what art can do. From now on, world peace and art will begin from Busan.
The Busan International Dance Festival is a festival getting completed together with your participations. I sincerely hope that beautiful memories will be gathered through dance,
and that one day we will be able to look back and realize that the moments of the Busan International Dance Festival were love.
