Shih Gee-Tze (Jesse), founder of MAD Theater and 2016 Gold Award winner, is known as the first domestic choreographer with a double major in fine arts and dance, and "a choreographer who paints with his body". His career spans global residencies, stage design, and prestigious academic roles. |

1997년 중부 대만 최초의 프로페스널한 현대적인 무용단으로 창단된MAD 씨어터는 매년 혁신적인 신작들을 선보인다. 여러 국가에 걸쳐 세계적인 족적을 남기면서, 12월 기준으로 1,700회 이상의 공연을 선보여왔다. Founded in 1997 as Central Taiwan's first professional modern dance troupe, MAD Theater debuts innovative new works annually. | 작품내용 | Created by multidisciplinary choreographer Shih Gee-Tze, this work merges dance and visual art. Choreographer Shih Gee-Tze is Taiwan's first artist with a fine arts background to create cross-disciplinary dance choreography. The choreography transforms dance movements into hand-drawn lines on moving and rotating 3D canvas frames, achieving a seamless fusion of visual art and dance. Dancers wear mini projectors to control projected images, blending dance with artistic visuals. This cross-disciplinary contact highlights interactions between dancers, set pieces, and technology. |
