“위기의 시대, 존재를 묻다.” “나무의 존재들”은 현재 위협받고 있는 순록에게 경의를 표하는 작품이다. 사슴 떼와 유목으로 만든 뿔의 우화를 통해, 연대와 움직임, 그리고 생존을 탐구한다. 왕관모양의 나뭇가지들을 상징하는 오브제와 무용수의 몸이 하나로 뒤섞이며, 생명 탄생의 원초적인 에너지와 자연의 숭고함을 시각화 한다. 바람과 대지, 물의 움직임을 닮은 무용수들의 유연한 호흡은 관객을 깊은 숲 한가운데로 안내한다. 특히 신체의 감각을 극한으로 확장하여 나무의 질감과 뿌리의 강인함을 표현하는 독창적인 안무는, 자연과 단절된 현대인들에게 묵직한 감동과 명상의 시간을 선사할 것이다. 본 작품은 2026 BIDF 해변특화공연 공모 선정작이다. “고요함 속에 숨겨진 폭발적인 힘. 나무와 신체가 하나가 되는 순간, 관객은 자연의 일부가 된다.”– Dance Current “In a time of crisis, we question existence.” Être de Bois(Being of Wood) pays tribute to the caribou, a powerful yet fragile emblem now under threat. Using driftwood as an allegory of deer antlers, the work explores solidarity, movement, and survival. This piece visualizes the primal energy of life and the sublimity of nature, as objects symbolizing crowned branches intertwine with the dancers’ bodies. The dancers’ fluid breathing, mimicking the movements of wind, earth, and water, guides the audience deep into the heart of a forest. Through original choreography that pushes physical limits to express the texture of wood and the resilience of roots, the performance offers a moving, meditative experience for modern individuals disconnected from nature. This work is a winner of the 2026 BIDF Beach Special Selection. |
